Bit of History - This vintage 1950s American Microphone Company DR332 ribbon microphone is a rare find for any enthusiast. The classic design will add plenty of nostalgia to your recording sessions or microphone collection. American Microphones were made in the United States, in Pasadena, California. The DR 332, like most ribbon elements, were produced under license from Western Electric, the company that produced the first ribbon/dynamic hybrid mics. Clearly this vintage microphone is a true piece of American history.
Technical Info - The terminal configuration for "Low" "Medium" or "High" is located under the faceplate. This mic is set for High, and given this is a passive ribbon mic for the most part, it requires a clean preamp with plenty of clean gain. The back of the name plate (see photo) shows the various configuration options.
