V-LINK (the original) - Overview
The V-LINK is designed to get USB audio data from a PC with minimal jitter, offering top performance, ensuring a consistently high-quality data feed is provided for your hi-fi system. It operates in asynchronous mode, with both PCs and Macs, especially with 24-bit/96kHz files. Though the V-Link won't handle 176.4 or 192kHz files, it does correctly handle 88.2kHz data. The V-LINK is essentially a 24bit 192kHz asynchronous USB to S/PDIF converter. It has both coaxial and optical outputs, allowing its digital precision to easily partner with DACs and CD players with these standard inputs. So USB to Optical. It does not have a DAC for Analog.
 
VDAC (the original) - The V-DAC handles 24bit/96khz files via coax and USB to Analog, or Digital output. The V-DAC’s USB input sound different that the coax input. When switching from coax to USB you notice a more relaxed sound. Don't be fooled by the rather plain exterior as the V-DAC's sophisticated circuit may just change the way you listen to your digital music. The V-DAC can breathe new life into your old CD, DVD. Simply connect your devices optical or coaxial digital output and bypass the lesser quality internal DAC. You'll hear the added depth, clarity, and focus that the V-DAC brings to your treasured CD collection. Similarly, the V-DAC can accept digital music files from your PC via USB for a far more exciting listening experience.
