DALAUDIO Comments: This is the third pair of these we have seen in the last 15 years. These are obviously in the overall best condition we have sold. Each pair we previously sold went relatively quickly. They are rather hard to find. This is a sock type speaker, and we removed the material to expose the speakers to examine them. Please see our photos. This pair of speakers were well cared for condition, and sound is surprising to say the least. The 9T's are a full range tower, as we detected (RTA real time analyzer) bass down to below 41Hz. As a result, many applications and rooms may not require a sub, unless you are using these an a larger room for theatre. The high end is very smooth and detailed, some may call it bright, but not as bright as say a Klipsch tower. The speaker’s design is equally ready for home theatre or analog stereo listening. We believe about 100 watts is the safe zone for amplifiers. The impedance is about 6 Ohms Nominal.
Note on Consideration:
Location of Speaker Connections - The compression type banana speaker posts are located on the very bottom or base of the speaker (see photos). The speaker must be laid down on its side to connect. The speaker wire is routed through a channel in the back, so that it’s nicely concealed, please see photos. If you place speakers, and don't move them often this is not a concern
Placement- Proper placement of these speakers will have a significant effect on the midrange as it is located on the rear of the unit. The best placement is about 2 ft off a harder rear wall surface and 2 ft minimum off a side wall. We also found that the soundstage was best presented when the speakers were angled at say 10-15 degrees past the center, toward the listening area, about 8-10ft apart.
