Construction Comments: This amp has two sets of early original TOSHIBA 2SA1264N /2SC3181N JFET type NPN/PNP complimentary power transistor. These original TOSHIBA transistors are low noise and have been used in many high quality amplifiers that sound great. Filter caps are a pair of Nichicon LQ(M) Series 6800uf /50V. Unit has a large honeycomb cell aluminum heatsink to dissipate transistors heat. The amp utilizes a large conventional transformer to supply AC Power.
Preamp /Amp: The A-339 can also be used as a preamp or amplifier as it has strapped RCA output and amp inputs. A number of other features include a processing loop for EQ's and Direct /Line to remove tone controls for flat response. The split volume control doubles as balance, and while not my favorite it's effective.
