QSC Series One Professional /Commercial Model 1200 Power Amp - Recently tested, serviced, adjusted by DALAUDIO. These older QSC amps are fairly well known bullet-proof, amps and really the only downside in older QSC reviews were loud fans, but this unit does not require any fas as its power rating was modest. Power output is a modest 100 WPC (Watts per channel) @ 8 Ohms, 300W Bridged Mono, or 4 Ohms 150 WPC.

Architecture: The basic circuit designs in the 1200 is based on a fairly high-performance integrated preamp circuit at the input and complimentary sets of Qty 4 2SC424 and 2SB524 (PNP/NPN) silicon power transistors (all original components are still in this system). These amplifiers feature a separate bipolar power supply for each channel, to minimize crosstalk and distortion, and increase reliability. A single dual-secondary transformer feeds isolated, separately fused rectifiers and filter capacitors for each channel. This amp requires no fan.
 
Functionality: This beefy amp is known for exceptional reliability, with flexible balanced or unbalanced inputs; XLR Balanced, TRS 1/4" Phone Balanced, and Barrier Screw Terminals. The speaker output 5 Way binding post terminal have been upgraded to gold plated by DALAUDIO. So this unit accepts balanced or unbalanced input signals and provides The high internal gain needed for low overall distortion and wide frequency response. The Gain controls and input programming switches have been placed on the back of the amplifier to protect them from damage, inadvertent adjustment, or tampering.

The amp also boasts complete protection is provided for open-circuit, short-circuit, and or mismatched loads; the amplifier will shut down temporarily if it over-heats, and AC circuit breakers protect against excessive power levels. The protection circuits are designed to minimize false triggering or unwanted interruptions and except for the AC breaker, located on the front panel for easy access, all protection systems will reset automatically as soon as safe operation is assured. It also contains a muting circuit protects loudspeakers from damage, by muting the amp during power up or power down, blocking DC faults, whether caused by the amplifier or inputs from source devices.
 
Front Panel: The front panel includes green power indicator pilot light and individual red clip indicators lights to monitor performance of each channel. As previously stated the AC switch and circuit breaker are front mounted for convenience and quick resetting.
