Sansui G-5700 Pure Power DC Stereo Receiver - Serviced by DALAUDIO. Made in Japan in 1979 was one of the first receivers offered with analog rule scale and digital display quarts tuning indicator. The unit produces 75 WPC into 8 ohms and total harmonic distortion of 0.03%. This unit has been serviced and sounds as it should. It is in amazing condition, and comes with the original manual, schematics, warranty card and a few other papers. Please see all photos. Pure Power DC - This does not mean Direct Current as many folks think. DC would destroy your speakers voice coils. This amplifier design utilizes a current differential push pull drive that follows the ICL (Input Capacitor Less ) input featuring a dual-FET (Field Effect Transistor) and current mirror loaded differential, see Sansui Patent for more info. In other words its a Directly Coupled design. If the FETs are well matched, this design results in a lower TIM (distortion) and faster response, and better tonality. Work Performed - The unit was opened and cleaned, the potentiometers, selectors, switches and controls were all cleaned, coated tested. Lights were changed as needed with originals. The power supply/ amp section was reviewed. All components checked with Huntron Tracker / ESR Meter etc. 4 main components were replaced. We removed and changed out two main filter caps with Nichicon high grade caps, and two Nichicon decoupling capacitors, added a connecting bridge and bleeder resistor. Unit was tested on all sources. FM RF section was tested and alignment procedure from service manual followed. Amplifier section DC offset was set to as low as possible (.08,.07mV). Bias current was set per manual to 5V +- 1mV. This was a very nice sounding good running unit. The service manuals are available as is the marketing brochure if you bring a USB thumb drive.
