Unit is in very Good to Excellent physical condition. It is in full working condition with all pots switches cleaned, replaced the lamps. Inputs include a phono stage (Mag), tuner, and auxiliary jacks, all work as they should. The front panel input lights when the input is switched. All controls worked properly. The Unit has a loudness contour, stereo/mono and tape monitor and speaker on/mute for headphones. All four original SE4002 BJT transistors are still operating. This amp has transformers acting as phase inverters, between drivers and power transistors. The sound is quite good for a small amp. likely due to the design, split phase transformers and low feedback from the original power transistors.

From The Manual: Representing an entirely new and unique approach to the design of stereo high fidelity components, the Electro-Voice E-V 1144A stereo control amplifier incorporates the latest "state of the art" transistor circuitry in an exquisitely styled, remarkably small package. Despite its small size, the E-V 1144A delivers 65 watts IMF musicpower with low distortion.

In addition to superb styling and performance, the E-V 1144A amplifier offers' many operating conveniences.A color-coded volume control allows simple operation, even by those unfamiliar with component stereo. Colorful indicator lights show at a glance the program source selected. The front panel stereo headphone jack is live at all times, while a speaker mute switch allows the speakers to be disabled at will without affecting headphone operation.

Note: IHF Power Specifications were utilized until the middle 1970s - It kind of represents a peak power vs RMS standards which is more continuous. So figure about 20 Watts Per channel.
