Yamaha NS-10M Nearfield Monitors / Bookshelf Speaker - The NS-10M is one of the most mass produced monitors, that near instantly became a studio standard. If you are looking at these they are not mint, but have been tested by DALAUDIO recently ands are functionally working as they should. These have a full but very neutral sound. These are reasonably priced, and could use some paint (black satin lacquer). If your in any way handy these could look great. We can do it, but we are trying to offer them reasonably first. The grills are all good. They are from a studio, and were mounted. The mounts are removed, you can have them with the speakers, just ask. The fronts are very presentable (see photos).

History: I am only going to provide a brief bit on these as most folks already know the whole story. Generally Yamaha released as a NS10 small neutral speaker system. Yamaha discovered that many were being used in studios. Soon after, Yamaha released the NS-10M (Monitor) and further developed and marketed it with the aim of becoming a high-performance small studio monitor speaker. They were very successful as a studio monitor around the world and sold over 300000 units! So they are around.
Main driver: 18 cm cone type woofer, conical white straight cone is used for the diaphragm. A sheet manufacturing method is used for manufacturing this diaphragm to minimize unevenness in density and thickness. A flexible, high-compliance roll edge with little change over time is used for the edge. The magnetic circuit uses a ferrite magnet with a magnetic flux density of 10,800 Gauss, a voice coil with an edgewise winding of heat-resistant copper ribbon wire, and a lightweight voice coil bobbin to achieve high efficiency and high input resistance.
Tweeter: 3.5 cm soft dome type tweeter, integrally molded with tangential edges. The magnetic circuit employs a 14,000 Gauss ferrite magnet, a 27 mm voice coil made of heat-resistant copper-clad aluminum wire, and a lightweight craft bobbin to achieve high input resistance and high efficiency.
Network/ Crossover: The network section is equipped with MP capacitor for higher sound quality, several tuned coils for the driver filters. Crossover at 2K
The enclosure: Sealed system - 12-15 mm thick bonded particle board. The sealed air suspension controls the movement of the cone paper and reduces the mechanical resistance at the edge. The inside uses a filling material selected based on the sense of hearing. The exterior is finished with black paint using real wood.
